Board Chair

Norman E. Vinn, DO, MBA, is board-certified family practitioner, is the founder and Medical Director of Housecall Doctors Medical Group. Dr. Vinn is considered a leader in Residentialist care, which focuses on the care of homebound or access-challenged patients. Dr. Vinn embraces the tradition of the family doctor making housecalls, enhancing those services with interprofessional team care, and state-of-the-art technologies including scheduling support programs and mobile Electronic Health Records (EHRs).

James M. Lally, DO, MMM, FACOFP, is an AOA board-certified family physician. A fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Dr. Lally serves as President and Chief Medical Officer of the Chino (California) Valley Medical Center, a Prime Healthcare Services Incorporated facility. He also is a clinical professor of family medicine at Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (WesternU/COMP) in Pomona, California, and at Touro University California, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Vallejo

Mark A. Baker, DO, an AOA board-certified osteopathic diagnostic radiologist, is a past president of the AOA. Currently he works at Western Radiology in Fort Worth specializing in diagnostic radiology. In addition, Dr. Baker serves as a clinical associate professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNTHSC/TCOM) in Fort Worth. Previously he served as acting chair and course director for the Department of Radiology and as a member of the teaching faculty for the Department of Gross Anatomy at UNTHSC/TCOM. After earning his osteopathic medical degree from UNTHSC/TCOM, Dr. Baker completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at Fort Worth Osteopathic Medical Center. He is past president of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association and a member of the American Osteopathic College of Radiology.

Kathleen S. Creason, MBA, serves as the AOA’s CEO. Ms. Creason brings nearly two decades of leadership experience within the osteopathic profession. Previously, she served as Executive Director of the American Osteopathic Information Association (AOIA) and the Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons of California. Ms. Creason also served as President of the Association of Osteopathic State Executive Directors. In 2009, she was the recipient of the Bob E. Jones National Osteopathic Executive Director Award. She earned a Master of Business Administration degree from CSU Sacramento and a BA degree in Communication Studies and Public Relations from the State University of New York at Geneseo. As CEO, Ms. Creason works with the AOA’s Board of Trustees, affiliated organizations and staff to advance the association’s strategic vision and execute its programs.

Joseph A. Giaimo, DO, MACOI, FCCP, is AOA board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, and sleep medicine. He has been working in private practice in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for more than 30 years. He is a master fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. After earning his osteopathic medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM), Dr. Giaimo completed a rotating internship at the former Metropolitan Hospital of Philadelphia. He later completed his residency and fellowship training at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. From 2004-2005, he served as President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA.) In 2010, he was honored with the FOMA Physician of the Year award. In 2006, he completed the AOA’s health policy fellowship program. Later, he served on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Practicing Physicians Advisory Council (PPAC), which provides input on CMS rules and implementation.

Jay S. Feldstein, DO, is the current president of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Feldstein holds an impressive record of success in healthcare management. From 2010-2014, he served as President, Northern Division, Pennsylvania Managed Care Plans, at AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies. He has worked as Corporate Chief Medical Officer/Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer/Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs at AmeriHealth Caritas; as Senior Medical Director, Mid-Atlantic region, and Director, Network Medical, Southern New Jersey/Delaware division at Aetna; as Medical Director at Concentra Health Center; as President/Chief Executive Officer at Occupational Health Resources, Inc.; as Founder/President/Medical Director at Spectracare Occupational Health Services; and as a physician and board member at Doctors for Emergency Services. Dr. Feldstein earned his bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from PCOM. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Medical Center of Delaware and his internship at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey. He is board certified in emergency medicine and occupational medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.

Sameer Sood, DO, is a Family Medicine physician who completed his residency training at Duke University in June 2020 and a primary care innovation fellowship at Harvard Medical School in 2016. Dr. Sood has 10 years of experience starting and advising companies across the systems, health tech, and device space and was co-founder and Chief Medical Innovation Officer at Sherbit, a remote patient monitoring platform, which was acquired by Medopad (now Huma) in 2018. Dr. Sood spends part of his time working clinically in primary care to stay grounded to patient needs while he works with organizations, teaches at universities and collaborates with passionate people to address root cause structural issues with equity and sustainability embedded in clinical, technical, and policy solutions.

George Thomas, DO, is a board certified family physician and fellow in the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. Retired Osteopathic family physician after 43 years. Past president of the AOA and OOA. Has received the AOA presidential citation from President Mark Baker DO for efforts in public policy, lifetime achievement award and family physician of the year award from the ACOFP. Also received the distinguished service award and the trustees award from the OOA.

Cole Zanetti, DO, MPH, is a Primary Care Section Chief for the VA in Golden Colorado and Assistant Clinical Professor for digital health, quality improvement and systems change for University of Colorado Anshutz Medical School and Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He previously served as a Clinical Innovator and Primary Care Physician at Iora Primary Care. He was trained in Family Medicine and Leadership Preventive Medicine at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Dr. Zanetti serves as a Physician Advisory Committee member for the National Quality Forum. He is a recipient of the American College of Physicians, Primary Care Innovation Award. He has been trained in value-based healthcare through the Harvard business school’s intensive seminar. He also received a Certificate in leadership and community organizing through the Harvard’s Kennedy School Executive Program. He has worked with the Positive Deviance Initiative on new applications within healthcare, the Dartmouth Center for Health Care Delivery Science on innovative mobile health initiatives in Haiti, was selected by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a Thought Leader for their symposium on Health and Health Care in 2032, and was selected for a National Library of Medicine scholarship for a biomedical informatics training course. He received his Masters of Public Health from the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. He received his Osteopathic Medical Degree from the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also holds a BA in Psychology from the University at Buffalo.
