What’s new in Digital Health Innovation Community of Practice
Members of the Digital Health Innovation Steering Committee recently shared their wealth of knowledge at an inaugural pre-conference workshop at this year's AACOM Educating Leaders Conference in Texas. Titled AI and Digital Health Integration for Excellence in Teaching and Scholarship, the workshop provided a highly interactive platform for our committee members to share their valuable expertise about the intersection and use of digital health technologies and osteopathic principles.
Through breakout discussions and panels, participants explored how to integrate whole-person care approaches with emerging technologies, debated AI's opportunities and challenges in medical education, and examined ethical applications in teaching and research. Hands-on experience with digital health tools and expertise in Clinical Informatics, demonstrated AOiA's commitment to advancing osteopathic medicine through innovation while preserving its humanistic principles.
We extend our thanks to committee members Dr. Frederick Chang, Dr. Sarah Wolff, Dr. Ravi Yarid, Dr. Cole Zanetti, and AACOM Liaison Dr. May Lin for their valuable contributions to this initiative.
