Hello! On behalf of AOIA, we are excited to share an exciting update on our journey to building an osteopathic medical and professional community focused on digital health and innovation!
Below are updates about our Digital Health Innovation (DHI) effort and how you can get involved and stay in touch with us!
Digital Health Innovation Community of Practice (CoP):
We are pleased to announce the launch of the DHI Community of Practice (CoP), an educational forum open to all professional and educational osteopathic stakeholders interested in digital health and innovation. The CoP will serve as a hub for collaboration, learning, and networking within the digital health space.
Our website is where you can check for the most up-to-date activities and information – including all of the touchpoints planned throughout the year!

Digital Health Innovation Steering Committee:
We identified a strong need to harness subject matter experts that represent the osteopathic professional and medical community, and its intersection with the use of digital health technologies. Our inaugural Digital Health Innovation Steering Committee will convene later this summer and continuously throughout the year.
The leadership body will inform our strategic priorities and the foundational elements of how osteopathic philosophy can enrich the use and innovative development around digital health technologies.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Sameer Sood, DO, and Dr. Cole Zanetti, DO, MPH to serve as our Co-Chair leaders for the next two years.

Innovation Hub at OMED’24:
We are thrilled to introduce a new specialty pavilion at OMED’24 called the Innovation Hub!
This space will be exclusively dedicated to digital health and innovation topics and will be the go-to spot to connect, network and collaborate with your colleagues.
It will feature product kiosks, a thought leadership theater, and numerous networking opportunities, offering an interactive space to explore and engage with the latest digital health technologies.
The DHI Community of Practice will host a Networking Reception at OMED’24 on Friday, September 20, 3:00-4:00pm CT at the Innovation Hub – more information will be coming but mark your calendars now!
