Digital Health Innovation Community of Practice & Steering Committee Launch
In August 2024, both the Digital Health Community of Practice (DHI CoP) and the Steering Committee have officially launched. Through the DHI CoP, we are thrilled to be able to bring you outstanding educational opportunities at the intersection of digital health and the osteopathic profession – check out and register for our upcoming webinars now!
Please note, we intend to provide CME for these events and will be enduring content online if you’re not able to attend live – more information will be forthcoming.
The DHI Steering Committee has identified their top three strategic priorities which will anchor our work moving forward: education & training, policy and integrating digital health into practice. Below further highlights what these areas mean:
Education & Training: Expanding digital health training in undergraduate and graduate medical education, focusing on informatics education, and preparing future physicians to utilize AI and digital health tools effectively.
Policy: Developing policies and advocacy efforts related to the use of AI and digital health, establishing competency requirements for digital health tools, and promoting the osteopathic perspective in broader healthcare technology discussions.
Integrating Digital Health into Practice: Integration of digital health technologies with osteopathic practices, ensuring osteopathic medicine's representation in clinical decision support systems, and the adoption of new technologies in practice.
OMED24 Innovation Hub
We are thrilled to be launch this inaugural specialty pavilion designated to digital health innovation at OMED24 – come check out the Innovation Hub where we will have a thought leadership theater filled with subject matter experts, residents, students and more share their exciting work going on in this space.
